I am Nava Gal, an Israeli artist living and working in Moshav Nir Chen in the western Negev, in a studio overlooking open fields and wide landscapes.
Color is my starting point — from it emerge the line, form, and movement in my paintings.
I work through a process of deconstruction and construction, in which color patches accumulate and shift until a memory, a feeling, or an image reveals itself.
For me, painting is a space of surrender — a place where I allow intuition and emotion to lead, while leaving room for the viewer to find their own personal story within it.
